The NetworkX Project
A number of models have worked with me on this project. The idea of this was to take something as sexy as fishnet stockings and create abstract art from it. Unlike the reason fishnet was conceived, there was never was there any thought of sex or sexy while shooting these images. The patterns that are created are what I was after. Occasionally through thoughtless manipulations, this creates magic. The idea of creating Art I think is to explore ideas, not to get it right all the time. There are times when a moment of amazement passes so swiftly that what I saw can not be repeated, it is gone. If I missed it, then I missed it. So I just keep working the material with the model never able to guess what I might see and capture with my camera.
The project is now finished.
